Workflow & Authorization

If you don't want every editor to publish content on your live Website, the Workflow modules of GX WebManager help you to stay in control of the publishing process. Use the standard models that come with the GX Enterprise Web Content Management or create your own.

Authorization - Roles & Permissions

This component offers the opportunity to set up detailed GX WebManager authorizations. It can be used to modify the basic set of roles and permissions. New roles can also be created and maintained. It offers the administrator a full set of options to manage GX WebManager users and their permissions.

Workflow Models

The Workflow Models component ensures that the web pages follow the correct route through the organization before being published on the web. Workflow models are closely linked to the possible statuses a page can have. The website administrator defines these statuses and configures their behavior. The statuses are then linked to user roles (responsibilities), which gives actual shape to the workflow. This GX WebManager functionality is developed in line with the Workflow Reference Model, which is based on the standards defined by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC).

Versioning

GX WebManager’s Versioning allows editors to create and store different versions of a Webpage. This component makes it possible to (temporarily) replace one version of a page with another at a specified date and time. This can, for example, be used for promotional actions or price changes.

Authorization - Users

Add, delete, change user credentials and profiles. Assign users to roles or import users from other systems.
